Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Much stronger thematically than narratively, Blood Country is an interesting depiction of frontier life at a pivotal time in American history. It's beautiful to look at but doesn't shy away from the darkness. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 5, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Very hard to follow, but a good movie. Low budget flick that is good for what it is. During the scene where the Sheriff dreams he is killed, look past the tree that he just left, and you will see the flashes of cars going by on the highway. Obviously wasn't shot on a high end movie set, but that is part of the charm. If you are a person that wants all of your questions answered by the end of the movie, then this isn't for you. The movie leaves you to form your own opinion as to what happened. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member We actually sat through the whole movie. We must have been bored. There were times we would rewind to hear it again and still not have any idea what the words were. Most of the time we were trying to figure out what was going on, it was as if we had read the movie first then we might have had an idea of what was up. The Director needs to find a new job as a chef, but it should probably be at a buffet, no one knows what the food is anyways. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting story but the acting is not great Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful movie and compelling true story based on Robert E JONES' research and short story "The Outlaw, the Sheriff, and the Governor" from his book Mississippi Gumbo found on Amazon . beautiful movie WONDERFUL acting everything is outstanding ..although the sound mix in some parts needed tweeking.... hard to hear a few lines was a common COMMENt it could have been THE the small town AUDITORIUMs where premiered ..with poor ACOUSTICS I would recommend this movie and I amazed at the quality of the movie for having such a low budget..Travis Mills the director needs to be recognized and backed by by some big big money he has epics to make!!! if Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member What an awesome movie!
