Victor O I'm a big fan of Danielle C. Ryan and that was the only reason why I wanted to see this movie. Sadly, she wasn't the lead but merely a guest star. Still, a movie is a movie, so I decided to check this out. Amy, a young woman, begins the movie apologizing for doubting everything that came before as it flashes back days in the most unlikely of places. A reality show has just finished filming as its producer prepares for the next season looking at a bevy of gorgeous women out to compete in a million-dollar contest of beauty, talent, and personality. One of those new stars is Amy a lost and broken woman who abhors organized religion and considers herself worldly and worthy of whatever she puts her mind to, in this case winning this reality show and many other material things. Whereas Crystal, another contestant, is a paragon of Christian virtue, someone who wants to experience the world despite all its temptations. Both these women compete all the while forces of darkness and light work against these women and other contestants as something from the past emerges to claim great power. You should never judge a book by its cover, and I figured this was going to be a trashy horror mess, but it's not all trash, there is a modicum of class attached to it. None of the performances are worth talking about but the story itself is not that bad. Still, what I would have wished for Danielle to portray the lead instead. Stephen Baldwin was a welcome surprise and though not the strongest of actresses, JoAnna De Castro and Juliana Destefano are lovely to look at. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/09/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolutely inept, poorly made, written, directed and acted, (and edited and designed and wardrobed…), pseudo-horror film that hides behind proselytizing and smugness in an attempt to hide how soulless it is. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/31/21 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a refreshing watch! Has wonderful comedic moments mixed with suspenseful twists. Great storyline and plot. Highly suggest this for a fun watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I don’t know who is writing all these other reviews. What I do know is are NUTZ. This movie looks like it’s shot on the same crappy, small set. In its defense I only made it through about 20 minutes but the movie was going nowhere. 😗PICKLES Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/13/21 Full Review Audience Member "BLOOD PAGEANT" AN AMAZING SUPERNATURAL THRILLER COMEDY And speaking of comedy, Ellia English,(who plays Madame Destiny), gives an awesome performance both comedic and dramatic in the same scene. Snoop Dog, the lovable "Dog Father", is always engaging to watch. And the rest of the cast worked well together weaving a thrilling thread which kept me so engaged as an audience, I didn't realize that I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. The Movie "Blood Pageant", centers around a reality Competition called "American Dream", which turns into a nightmare when contestants mysteriously disappear. However, amidst the battle between good and evil, an unlikely friendship develops. Blood Pageant is a "Must See" movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Not at all what I was expecting… I figured it would be a typical slasher flick. Lots of T&A, lots of blood and gore. That was not at all the case with this movie. I'm not going to say much more than that, except to say I was I was pleasantly surprised by the direction the film took. Loved it. Definitely recommend watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
