Phil Hoad Guardian British director Lawrence Jacomelli dons the appropriate outlaw squint for this cat-and-mouse thriller -- one that’s capable of picking out a sharp composition, too -- but ultimately his debut is too disjointed to hit top gear. Les N Not a great movie...it must be the season. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/25/25 Full Review A.L.Jude P A gamut of plot holes made the movie somewhat surreal. So much potential had wasted to make it great. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/25 Full Review Jackie P I really liked this film, more so the second half as thats when the true grit and edge of your seat ride starts! First half a bit slower but the story is good and I guess it's building up. Loved the actors! Very well done Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/06/25 Full Review Jeepers C Blood Star is really well done. The story is suspenseful and the action keeps you going til the end. There's a psychopath sheriff in town, who has been killing numerous girls and he doesn't plan to stop. Little does he know, that his next victim is willing to stop at nothing to survive. It's a game of cat and mouse throughout the movie. This movie really surprised me and I would recommend to anyone who likes a suspenseful, murderous, good vs evil, movie. If you liked "Strange Darling", then you will surely enjoy this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/25 Full Review tm11999 M miss britni is quite fetching in certain scenes and she does a fine job taking care of business. in no way could this happen, ever, but a good hunter/rabbit chase that ends quite satisfyingly. watch this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/25 Full Review Jeffrey K The movie was okay. They did a good job with making the sheriff very creepy and a total psychopath. His acting was pretty impressive too. The cinematography was good. They could have done with a better female lead. The storyline was absurd and feels so unrealistic half of the time. I hate when I’m watching a movie and I’m thinking oh that’s silly why not call 911, that just means the plot wasn’t thought through properly. A good movie should make you empathise with the characters and feel their emotions. This one I was laughing most of the time despite it being a horror film.
