Ken Jaworowski New York Times The script relies on subtext and Ms. Nowlin's expressions to convey her condition. She's up to the task; even in the many silent moments, she's compelling. Oct 12, 2017 Full Review Kenneth Turan Los Angeles Times Made with passion, integrity and skill, "Blood Stripe" is American independent filmmaking at its most effective. It takes on a difficult subject and treats it with an honesty that can't help but capture us from start to finish. Oct 12, 2017 Full Review Justin Lowe Hollywood Reporter [Kate] Nowlin's performance, however, is a marvel of inner turmoil and physical exertion, as Sarge struggles to contain her destructive impulses or channel them into more productive pursuits. Sep 25, 2017 Full Review David Bax Battleship Pretension Blood Stripe illustrates with the clear eyes of a docudrama and the queasy tension of the thriller genre. Dec 11, 2020 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens An emotionally intense film. . . A strong and well crafted, yet nuanced script, the tacit commentary on PTSD and the lack of proper services and assistance to returning soldiers speaks sensitively and loudly. Nov 16, 2018 Full Review Harvey S. Karten Shockya.com Prosaic tale of a woman Marine with PTSD. Rated: C Sep 24, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A very good drama about PTSD with a great lead performance Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing is all I can say Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review roger g A sad story of a vet returning home and not being able to cope with the world away from the military. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Tima P Powerful story of a fmeale Marine (lioness) veteran and her war at home. Accurate portrayal of PTsd and a reminder of the impact of war on female vets Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/09/18 Full Review Audience Member Starts off strong and then get s a bit clunky, but it's ambitious, dramatic, and leaves an impression. "Sarge" represents the military "everywoman," a point of view regularly missing in returning-home-from-war movies. But this isn' an in-your-face aftermath; it's a quiet, gentle breakdown. The acting couldn't be finer and were Knowlin famous she would have received an Oscar's nod. I turned it on by chance and was immediately engrossed. The ending is ambiguous and slightly frustrating. The cinematography is spectacular. All the bit players, especially Rusty and Dot, help create a fine, realistic film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review dude m IT'S BORING then the lead character simply drowns herself. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
