Audience Member "Out there in the middle of that jungle there are several men he's driven insane." Two pairs of 20-something teenagers out for an afternoon of boating and shooting are stranded on an island by the drunkard captain. The four aged teens are set upon by the island's inhabitants, a creepy sociopath millionaire and his striped-shirt-wearing workers. Soon the group realizes they are being interred and are scheduled to play the most dangerous of games. After befriending fellow captives, they attempt to make a great escape. Not a bad take on this classic story, but there was too much downtime which was not suspense-building and would have been better with more able actors. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review damian l It was alright as far as a movie like that was concerned and the only reason why I watched it is because a pre Brady Bunch Robert Reed and TV and film actress Lilyan Chauvin played in it Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review dave s The problem with Bloodlust, a low budget B-movie version of The Most Dangerous Game, is that it takes too long for anything of importance to happen and that is a problem in a 68-minute film. Looking past the expected issues (acting, dialogue, cinematography, etc…) in a movie of this type, there are also some massive plot holes. For example, if you have a fenced-in compound to stop people from escaping, why do the guards leave the friggin' gate open all of the time, allowing people to seemingly come and go as they please? Granted, the giant leeches and the acid bath are cool, but there is not much else to recommend in Bloodlust. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member See it with the MST3K crew. Robert Reed is really awkward and gangly. Hard to believe he would become a Worldwide Iconic Dad in a decade. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Bafflingly silly in its adaptation of one of the great stories of all time, and absurd in its characterizations, but, at the end of the day, it's all charming and harmless. This is a movie that has something to say and do, and it accomplished both as it flounders admirably. I enjoyed myself with this admittedly ridiculous B-movie classic. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member skipp this mess and see the 1932 version of 'the most dangerous game' upon which this is very very loosely based.
