Alexandre M I have never heard about this movie before or after watching it, and it's hard to understand how so, because it's very good. Being unheard of, with an english name but happening in Brazil, with brazilians actors speaking english, I thought it would be a trash movie. But I was very surprised. The acting is good, the plot ends up being awesome. It really touches the mind and the soul, makes us laugh and think. I hope more people get to watch it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Tense and breathtaking, Jose Joffily's Blue Eyes it's one of the best exemples of the great Brazilian Cinema in modern times. With a controversial theme about immigration and humilliation against Latin Americans. Blue Eyes, became a very personal film to me. I always saw my brazilian people and my Latin neighbors suffer prejudice from other countrys, without mention our third world problems. In Brazil history, the ditadorship that we suffer from the Military Regime (1964 - 1985) was support by USA, history fact that it's also reported in the film. Blue Eyes show the American paranoia and abuse with Latin people, in the contemporaneous days pos 9/11attacks. Powerful and moving, Jose Joffily present a terrific direction, just like the screenplay by Melanie Dimantas and Paulo Halm with story by Joffily, Jorge Duran and Halm. David Rasche and Irandhir Santos have great actings that make Blue Eyes an unforgettable movie. Fresh. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Filme sobre o preconceito. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member A lesson in humility and redemption. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Esse vale a pena ver de novo! :) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
