Movie is about the extreme ruthless lengths and life threatening dangers a common man pilot in WW1 Germany will go to get the coveted title award. Compelling aerial battle action, hair raising stunts, and a focused arrogant performance by George Peppard, sell this movie. Bonus, eye opening hot sex scene with Ursula Andress, wearing a barely there towel, that managed to get by the censors in 1966.

Great film. Does not have all the modern special effects etc, but the aerial combat scenes and the battle scenes are incredible. All the old planes are just breath taking. Makes you want to get in and fly one of the old biplanes. Loved it.
