Carlos I Fun little kidventure movie with a baby faced Nicole Kidman. It's not quite as memorable as I was expecting from a Trenchard-Smith film but it's still lots of fun. The plight the kids go through is pretty silly, but it's to be expected with a kids film like this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/24/22 Full Review martin b Monkey see, monkey do ... unoriginal & cringeworthy. Lots of self-congratulatory backslapping from the fishbowl film clique but it's sitting there in the middle of the rug, hot & steaming. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member While the bike chases are actually quite exciting at times with some really good stuntwork and it's fun to see Nicole Kidman in her feature film debut, BMX Bandits is a silly low-budget Australian crime drama with cheesy acting, an even cheesier '80s soundtrack, the aforementioned chase sequences lasting an absurdly long time (ding dong, the excitement is gone) and tons of hilariously dumb moments. Shame Nicole Kidman doesn't like talking about this movie, I'd have loved for her to be more self-deprecating of her involvement in the Australian '80s prototype of Premium Rush. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Aussie adventure flick which launched the career of Nicole Kidman. Some wicked BMX stunts within the film and a few odd laughs but some cardboard acting from a few doesn’t help. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/21 Full Review Audience Member Stupid af. The plot, the acting, the music...all total garbage. The shwishing and shwooshing sounds during action scenes is so ridiculous. Nicole Kidman is cute, but Jesus Christ girl, get some conditioner on that poof you call hair. The only reason I gave it 1.5 stars is because there is some really pretty scenery of Australia. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a special film for me as it was the first movie that I saw at the cinema. I had a choice between this or Lady & the Tramp. I should have chosen the latter. The trailer had these guys going down a waterslide with their BMXs. To the 6 year old me it was simply the coolest thing I had ever witnessed. Still, Nicole Kidman's presence gave me a lifelong attraction to tall redheads Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Annalena McAfee Financial Times The script and plot seemed to be suffering from a severe slow puncture. Aug 4, 2021 Full Review Chris Nashawaty Entertainment Weekly The baby-faced Kidman is easily the best thing in it. Rated: B- Mar 10, 2011 Full Review Time Out Obviously made on a TV budget, the plot is weedy, and the film is saved only by some neat stunts and the splendour of the Australian landscape. Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Jason Shawhan Nashville Scene Way less yell-y than The Goonies and with a lot of great bike sequences, BMX Bandits also has a theme song you won't be able to get out of your head. Sep 10, 2021 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz Proved Australia could create a kidult movie as slick and entertaining as the best Hollywood had to offer. Plus, it introduced the world to Nicole Kidman. Rated: 3.5/5 May 17, 2021 Full Review Tracy Moore Common Sense Media 1980s teen bike adventure with sustained menace, peril.
