Audience Member A Dutch version of Interdevochka (1998). A teenager from a poor single-mother family wants to have a taste of luxury life. As her mother refuses to support her, she finds a way out by serving as an escort to well-off men. She seems o have a love affair with her pimp. As she spirals down to the downright prostitution, drugs and prison, she leaves home and tries to find a safe harbour with her pimp, who immediately sells her. Her escape and running to her mother is supposed to represent the happy end, but it fails to do so, because apparently, her rigid and hysterical mother is not going to make her any happier. Probably, the film was supposed to signify the dangers of a life of a prostitute, but since most people know that already, one looks for a different twist, and fails to find one.
