Paul Lê Nightmare on Film Street In the case of Boar, it's absolutely what you would expect based on the premise. If you're fine with that, you should be as happy as a pig in mud. Rated: 6/10 Jul 20, 2023 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts A lackluster kind of story. Rated: 5/10 Apr 9, 2021 Full Review Alix Turner Ready Steady Cut The clue, as they say, is in the title. Rated: 3/5 Feb 2, 2021 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror For now, Boar is mostly good fun, but, as with far too many creature features, it ultimately falls flat once the creature is revealed in all its CG non-glory. Rated: 6/10 Sep 30, 2019 Full Review Terry Mesnard Gayly Dreadful Sometimes you want to see a man's leg get wrapped in barbed wire before being dragged, screaming into the dark by a giant boar. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 15, 2019 Full Review Andrew Wyatt The Lens An exasperating mess, unredeemed even by the grindhouse thrill of copious gorings and disembowelments. Amy A Great movie for a rainy afternoon. I actually thought the boar creation was pretty good. Not too much gore & pretty realistic. Definitely worth watching if you love a creature feature. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Nina E It is a violent action movie that doesn't require a lot of brain cells to follow. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/24 Full Review prawnda s i have said it before and i will say it again: having your characters yell at each other for 90% of the film, regardless of whether there is a problem or not, is not the same thing as dramatic tension. some parts were very well done in their campy way, but there is far too much arguing, shouting, being mean to each other in this film, and not enough communication or common sense. it's not "busting chops", it's just bad acting/directing. i don't even think the script was too bad to work with, it's just that whoever was making the creative choices insisted on inserting a large broom handle into each characters posterior. most of these lines could be said with a straight face instead of a whiny, self important scream, and there would have been no less genuine tension in any given scene for it. i'm fairly sure this was intended to be comedic, but it's just irritating. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Jens B I've definitely seen the uncut version and it's not that gory. I don't expect my mind to be blown but a killer boar movie should have at least some over the top stuff. This film takes itself way too serious. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/03/22 Full Review Liam D It's a lot of fun and has some deaths that actually surprised me Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/29/22 Full Review Audience Member This was a fairly good wild animal movie. A killer boar the size of a bear that can literally take your head off in one bite. The oversized boar looked great I seriously think they should make a part 2 about the Monster Boar now that would be awesome cause it did look realistic Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
