Allan C Corny bit of rednecksploitation about Lynda Carter (soon to be TV’s WONDER WOMAN) running off with a local bad boy on a road trip, starting with hijinx and building to criminal activity by this wannabe Bonnie & Clyde. Directed by Mark L. Lester, who’d later go on to direct video store classics COMMANDO and CLASS OF 1984, it’s a pretty meandering road film that never really seems to go anywhere. Lynda Carter is miscast and is way too classy for this junk, though she’s probably the best part of the film. She reportedly had already filmed the pilot for WONDER WOMAN just before making this film, and once that show became a major hit, she regretted appearing in this film and disowned it. Jesse “I COME IN PEACE” Vint, Gerrit “USED CARS” Graham, James “MAJOR LEAGUE” Gammon, and future director Chuck “THE MASK” Russell also appear in the film.  Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Steve D Carter is miscast and the film is unplesent . Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/16/23 Full Review Audience Member 1976: Friends Bobbie Jo and Essie hit the road with trouble-maker drifter Lyle and meet up with Bobbie Jo's sister Pearl and Pearl's boyfriend Slick. As they drive through New Mexico, they leave behind a series of destruction, theft, robbery, and death. They are followed throughout the state by a dogged sheriff determined to catch them, dead or alive. A good movie of its type, and the acting is solid. There are moments in the movie, however, that do scream out "yeah, right", and the ending is generally predictable. Worth a view. Stars Marjoe Gortner, Lynda Carter, Belinda Balaski, Jesse Vint, and Merrie Lynn Ross. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Rip-roaring good time, with a bunch of youths hitting the road, and recreating some Bonnie and Clyde-like hijinks. The kids are all really likeable, so you have fun riding along with them as they get into mischief. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/16/18 Full Review delysid d hilarious film, these crazy mixed up kids make the worst choices possible in life. i loved the unrealistic scene where they eat magic mushrooms, they obviously know nothing about it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/01/18 Full Review Audience Member Trashy rip-off of BONNIE & CLYDE.
