Douglas H I have to review this. Years ago I wrote the script for "Leprechaun in the Hood." I wrote the original version in 5 days on spec. As a result, someone from the producers of Body Shots asked me if I would review the script. I told them it was bad, and virtually needed a "page 1" rewrite. The producer there told me it was going to be the next "St Elmo's Fire," and that my sensibilities were bad. Months later, when Leprechaun was released, I read a review of it in Entertainment Weekly. It received a B+. I was shocked, as I almost took my name off the script because of all the changes to my final draft... anyway, in the same column was a review of Body Shots. It received a D. I happily copied both reviews and sent them to the producer, noting that perhaps my sensibilities were a bit better than his. So what's wrong with Body Shots? First, it's overly impressed with itself. The characters start off as the shallowest of people and suddenly act like they've evolved. It's not funny, though it tries to be in the beginning. It's not significant, though it thinks it is. It never sets a real tone, instead moving from light hearted to overly serious, to tragic, to comic to whatever the writer was apparently feeling at that moment. This is what Hollywood is filled with... People who couldn't do anything that requires a real skillset, who simply hang out long enough in Tinseltown to get work. In other words, people who didn't know when to give up. That's what Body Shots is... people who don't know when to give up. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member hi does anybody know an erotic tv serie with this caractiristic: man closes woman's eyes with something and puts cherry in her mouth(this is not 91/2 weeks 1986) in other scene ab oy nad girl having sex in a room and a hidden camera captures their photoes?? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review don s A sad social commentary on the lives of young adults who are only looking to hook up and consider many sexual acts including fellatio to be so common they don't even count as sex. While there are pretty ladies getting out of clothes, there isn't enough of that to make up for the stench of the philosophies spouted by these poor, misguided losers. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Almost worth it for just Tara Reid pre-botched boob job. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the top 5 worst movies of '99. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Bit of a slow starter. Was wondering if they'd get over the fuck/sex/shit talk, 'cos if that would continue for too long it would've been a plain and boring movie. However, things change and the story becomes interesting about half an hour in. Especially the way things are portrait is very cleverly done, particularly showing both sides of a story at the same time and in sync - very clever editing. However, towards the ending you're sort of left with your own ideas or lack thereof and it's unsure who did what. Unsatisfactory ending. ps: too many blondies! :) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
