Gory, gritty, and proudly unpolished, Bogieville is a low-budget vampire tale with a strong opening, a killer child vampire, and a messy but satisfying finale. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 3h Bogieville tries to revive classic vampire horror, but it lands as a cheesy, corny misfire. The acting feels strained from the start, making it hard to believe in the characters or their fear. Creative ideas appear, yet they never fully connect, leaving the film flat and uninspired. By the second act the screenplay loses momentum, repeating beats instead of building tension, and the final stretch collapses into a weak, unsatisfying conclusion. Direction is another problem, as scenes lack mood and atmosphere, and the movie never finds the dark energy a vampire tale needs. There are moments where effort shows, but they are buried under uneven pacing and awkward dialogue. In the end, Bogieville is not scary, not thrilling, and rarely engaging, offering little reason to revisit it beyond curiosity. It is a missed opportunity that struggles to stand beside stronger entries in the genre. For horror fans seeking real chills, this one will likely disappoint and fade from memories See more Dainard B. @Dainard 6d One of the worst movies I’ve ever watched in my life. Horrible acting, horrible directing. Don’t know why anyone would’ve invested money in this garbage See more CHi A Jun 21 This is one of those movies you love to hate. The acting and direction is atrocious but the story draws you in. See more tm11999 M @tm11999 Jun 14 vampires are stupid. they are extremely easy to kill, but they always seem to be able to get weak people to do their bidding because the lazy are always easily bought. when your girly becomes a monster, you're supposed to be the one to end her, not keep her in the basement and feed her the neighbors or pets. stop making vampire stories. See more A. L Jun 13 I'm pretty forgiving for low budget films. I know how hard making a movie can be but this is just a mess. Worse is its boring. Our story revolves around a newly unemployed, broke couple. They have to leave town quickly so off they go. While driving they hit something or someone. What could it be? They think it might be a person. They look around and find an old sign that shows a trailer park which they can see. You guessed it. The trailer park is Bogieville. The story makes no sense. The acting is bad. I will say the make-up for the vamps was decent. Note to film makers. Get a decent story first and foremost. See more Read all reviews
