Lakshana N Palat Gulf News (UAE) Corruption lurks in every corner of the film, yet the storytelling fails to capitalise on its potential. Instead of delving deeper into the complexities of this theme, the narrative feels oversimplified, as if it’s being dumbed down for the audience. Feb 13, 2025 Full Review John Serba Decider Kim offers keen visual sensibilities and a potentially rich premise, but Bogota: City of the Lost doesn’t quite fulfill its potential. Feb 5, 2025 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies [Despite] a strong start, [Bogota: City of the Lost] kind of becomes formulaic and forgettable. Rated: 2/5 Feb 4, 2025 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut The messaging is offensively simple, there’s a perplexing lack of the dramatic elements that should underpin this kind of drug saga, and the whole thing ambles along to a perfunctory conclusion almost as if it needn’t have existed at all. Audience Member I hate this movie, I don't know about Colombians, but I thought it was a terrible movie! Full of ridiculous stereotypes, as if any city in Latin America was so dangerous that people needed weapons to defend themselves. With each stereotype I rolled my eyes and asked myself "Seriously? Be more creative!" If you're not going to make a good job of a movie set in a foreign country, don't do it and save yourselves from embarrassment! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/25 Full Review Kenneth L This movie was ok. The story was interesting and well-told, but it wasn't particularly compelling. Vale apena assistir? não Nota: 4 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/25 Full Review Vlacho S an unchained story, a Bogota that does not exist, a story that lacks an intelligent narrative and sells Bogota with a very negative image, also the migrants who sold at that time were Chinese, there are very few Koreans and in addition to those details the photography is very bad Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/10/25 Full Review Pamela H Sigh…the burden of a long and meaty acting career…having to keep it up! Song Joong-Ki has notably striven to give his audience a varied and deep repertoire of classy and quality shows, in all his series and films. This movie is watchable solely based on SJK’s acting. As always, he fills the frame and our eyes dare not stray. Because SJK has delivered tour-de-force performances for this many years, I know to tune in for his every show, well into the future. With his baby face, his action prowess, and his emotional intensity, this actor looks ready to be a top star for 10 more years. I hope that everyone will keep an open mind and go along for the ride - so that we may all benefit from this ‘gift’ of an artist. Thank you Korea, thank you Netflix, for ‘Bogotá’. SJK, you made a so-so film really good, and you light up the screen. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
