I can't even believe this is a sequel to the movie that changed the horror genre, The Blair witch project demonstrated how to make an actually scary movie using the found footage style and that's what made the movie scary and original but the blair witch project 2 is just an horrible sequel. It abandonds the found footage and makes it looks like a 2000s movie instead of a found footage and it's really really bad, this is why I would never sell the rights of my movie to a big company. This is the example of why.

I have no problem admitting that ‘Book of Shadows’ is a bad movie. It absolutely is, without a doubt. However, it is a bad movie that I love. I have probably seen this movie two dozen times since it was released. I used to put on the dvd before I went to bed 20 years ago. There’s just something about it that connects with me.

Terribly underrated. Everyone compares it to the first Blair Witch film although there's absolutely no direct connection and Book of Shadows could have been released as a decent standalone movie because that's what it really is. To me it was eerie enough to keep me engaged and its shocking ending still haunts me to this day, therefore I can only see it as a decent and pretty effective horror movie. I honestly like it more than the first one which is almost unwatchable because of the constant camera shaking. It also doesn't have an ending that's open to different interpretations. Book of Shadows does though and I find myself occasionaly thinking about it even two decades later.
