A bodyguard protects a pop superstar and her athlete boyfriend from a determined stalker in 1990s Los Angeles. Pros: Dark comedy stalker/home in asion movie. Samara Weaving is great as always. Really fun performance from Ray Nicholson who chews up every scene he is in. Surprise performance goes out to Alba Baptista who is hilarious. Funny dark humor and surprisingly violent. The third act had me rolling. Cons: Takes a little too long to get going. Nothing really new done here.

Deserved a Better Lead Actor (12,450 – 16 May 2026) The unstable and delusional Paul Duerson stalks the pop singer Sofia and one night, he stabs her bodyguard Bell to break into her house. Paul is sent to an institution while Bell recovers in the hospital. Six months later, Paul flees with his sadistic friend Penny, and heads to Sofia’s house, who is with her friend Rhodes, to marry her. Meanwhile, his partner J. H. Calhoun kidnaps Bell and his family to be the guests and brings pastor Lutzner to marry them. "Borderline" (2025) is an American dark comedy-thriller that deserved a better lead actor. Ray Nicholson unsuccessfully keeps trying to imitate the crazy faces of his father. Samara Weaving is funny and Alba Baptista is excellent. The rest of the cast have good performances. Empty and predictable but entertaining enough to finish. Weaving always does well in these rolls and Nicholson has his dad's demeanor.
