Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (LAist) [Jimmy Warden] can come up with a hook, but the movie itself is pretty underwhelming. May 13, 2025 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting Despite two talented leads, the loose, fictionalized remix of a true stalker case struggles to strike a coherent balance between comedy and horror, landing instead on a repellent, vapid anti-love letter to ’90s Los Angeles. Rated: 2/5 Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com The breathless pace, and all these jagged tonal asides, can leave you feeling more than a little disoriented, especially as they drag Warden further from the toxic romance that’s supposed to undergird “Borderline”‘s central story. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 14, 2025 Full Review John Daniel Tangalin The Cinema Spot Borderline borders—really, no pun intended here—on horror. The 95-minute cross-genre flick edges on horror territory so well by slightly brushing on certain aspects, elements, and tropes. Rated: 4/5 Jul 19, 2025 Full Review Cody Allen The Curb At its core, Borderline is an experience. It’s a wild, unpredictable, and sometimes messy ride that delivers laughs, thrills, and plenty of WTF moments. Jul 18, 2025 Full Review Pat Bulfamante The MontyVerse (YouTube) I feel like we lingered on things too long and we needed to get into the insanity faster. However, once we get rolling, the film doesn’t stop until the credits and I loved every second of it. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 13, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Wiigy A must-see. A hoot and holler with thrills, chills, laugh, the whole kit and caboodle. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/16/25 Full Review miguel a A bodyguard protects a pop superstar and her athlete boyfriend from a determined stalker in 1990s Los Angeles. Pros: Dark comedy stalker/home in asion movie. Samara Weaving is great as always. Really fun performance from Ray Nicholson who chews up every scene he is in. Surprise performance goes out to Alba Baptista who is hilarious. Funny dark humor and surprisingly violent. The third act had me rolling. Cons: Takes a little too long to get going. Nothing really new done here. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/15/25 Full Review Sarah C Borderline does a great job of walking the line of empathy and batshit crazy. Ray Nicholson does a great job leading his first film and I can't wait to see more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/11/25 Full Review Ido K. Good acting from everyone could not save the problematic tonal shifts. The movie is trying to be an unhinged high-jinx comedy but it gets lost along the way. The writer-director has some talent and should sharpen its efforts. I’m sure he will come back with something better. My favorite part was the musical cop, played by Matthew Del Bel Belluz. That part made me chuckle. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/07/25 Full Review jm s I really liked the musical cop. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/20/25 Full Review Andrei D The winking approach has its limited, the acting is mostly good, the song and fight sequence is very good, the movie kind of shuffles to the end Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/17/25 Full Review Read all reviews
