Kate Rodger Newshub (NZ) Born to Dance is worth the ticket price for exactly that - the dancing. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 30, 2019 Full Review Alex Heeney Seventh Row Like a cross between Bring it On and Billy Elliot, there's plenty of dance talent on display in this film. Aug 14, 2017 Full Review Francesca Rudkin New Zealand Herald Go and be blown away by the ridiculous dance talent this country has to offer. Rated: 3.5/5 May 3, 2016 Full Review John Fink The Film Stage Born To Dance offers the same old story with a slight cultural twist. If only it was actually more than what it appears to be on the surface. Rated: C Feb 21, 2016 Full Review Sarah Ward Screen International Thankfully, the energy of the cast and the spectacular choreography enliven what could have remained a blandly formulaic, feel-good showcase of moving and grooving. Jan 26, 2016 Full Review Silvia Cheung FILMINK (Australia) Born To Dance isn't original, but it's still worth seeing if you like your dance movies flavoured with a bit of hip-hop. Audience Member You know exactly what you're getting with this genre, but it was done pretty well. Maybe I just really like hearing New Zealand accents on screen, but I really enjoyed the cast + dancing was just fully entertaining + 'feel good' vibe. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review ma'ark t The only real highlights are seeing Auckland on the big screen and the epic dancing. A fairly predictable storyline. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member couldn't fault the making of the film; cinematography, music, camera work...etc all on point. the choreography? unbelievably good. unfortunately the rest was a horrible script and plot line making it hard to distinguish whether the actors weren't up to par or it was impossible to act well whilst trying to cram every possible nz slang word into your sentences Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
