This is essentially a recap of known knowns, which relies heavily on talking heads to link the standard archive clips in the absence of any of Lennon's music, which is bafflingly marginalised.

I was very disappointed with this. As soon as it started, (without any actual Lennon or Beatles music), I suspected it was going to be underwhelming. Mostly talking heads with the usual suspects and very little footage that we haven’t seen a million times. Nothing new or interesting, unless you've never seen a Lennon documentary before.

A new doc about Lennon's last years. A couple of new revelations in there, but one that just didn't ring true to me. Lots of the same old same old talking heads cashing in on the chief moptop. Without the music and greater archive footage, it's just more gassing on about the private life of a great artist.
