Em uma tentativa de homenagem à relação entre Rio de Janeiro e EUA, o filme tropeça ao adotar uma série de clichês típicos das comédias românticas estadunidenses (temos até a famigerada cena no aeroporto...). No entanto, ainda conta com personagens carismáticas (encarnadas por um ótimo elenco) e com momentos de fato hilários. Felizmente, a agradável trilha sonora consegue fazer jus ao título.

A wonderful story that is a not so gentle parody of superficiality, and the efforts of one society to attempt to fit in with one considered dominent. The attempts to tag along with "progress" and to construct fictions that are such pathetic shadows of the real person are the real message. Amy Irving is incandescent, and the wit and irony of Antonio Fagundes, is buoyed wonderfully by the stellar soundtrack. It may have been played just a bit too subtly, but its examination of relationships should be studied by anyone who has had a relationship, would like to have a relationship, or is in a relationship. Watch this stunningly lovely film with someone you love, and be ready for the subtitles as the movie is in three languages.
