Mahesh Pailoor's film is appreciably relaxed around matters of age and race, yet - as a missing-cat subplot suggests - it's somewhat underpowered. Go to Full Review

The drama that unfolds from that gambit is too tepid to make the perpetrator's redemption, let alone the fulfillment of his artistic vision, anything to root for. Go to Full Review

It's a slight film but an unfussy one that offers warmth, wisdom and gentle comedy. Go to Full Review

Birithivy Y Dec 28 Brahmin Bulls - 6/10. I love Letterboxd because it can remind you of a film that you legit forgot existed in the first place. Brahmin Bulls is not an amazing movie, but, it holds a special place in my heart. Its actually the first ever film I was assigned to review for on the now defunct review site Toronto Film Scene. It was the first screener I ever received too, and I remember being excited to be an official reviewer at the time. Though this movie was just okay, and its drama was not memorable, I give it a more favourable score due to the fact that its my first reviewed movie, and, the lead is actually of tamil descent. Fate maybe, but yeah! But overall, this drama features generational dealings of love and life, and though on paper its interesting, on film its just passable!
