If this was just a silly romantic comedy, it would be completely forgettable, but the story has some meat on its bones, and the the performances by Hepburn and Peppard make this a movie worth watching, at least once, just to see why it is so famous.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is not exactly a classic, but it lives up to its reputation as an old-school romance. The transitional period that Hollywood was undergoing overloads Truman Capote's adapted story with contradictions, where the behavior of our protagonists is distorted in a whirlwind of glamorous and sophisticated suggestion, dividing the film in two: a light romantic comedy and a relatively explicit human drama that hides a background of vices and stigmatization.
