Despite the talented ensemble cast and a premise ripe for dark satire, the movie struggles to find a consistent tone, ultimately feeling like a diluted imitation of a Coen Brothers classic. As much as Janney tries, this doesn’t rise above being a fairly forgettable Fargo wannabe that misses the mark on both the suspense and the wit it strives so hard to replicate. See more VITALII H @freakynickison Nov 15 This was a drag. The movie is an hour and a half long but it felt longer. With such an amazing cast they could’ve done so much better. Wasted potential… It has some funny scenes but something was really off, probably comedic timing. It just felt like an extended comedy sketch, not the best one. Sue Buttons is a big act of desperation. She decided to use some sympathy in order to get some attention cuz for her it was the only way to not be unnoticed. The acting was great as you can expect. See more Michael V @RT80643051 Aug 18 No,this movie was decent but I hated the main character... I hate bad cop movies where the evidence is all over the place and no one pieces it together. In real life that woman would've gotten caught in 2 days. I thought the poetic justice would have been the lady cop shooting her at the end. But no. She writes a book. Some many holes with the murders that for her to go on without being caught ruined it for me. So, for all that give it 1 star but a half cause I did like the actors in it.
