'Brick' starts with a gripping premise and stylish visuals, but quickly loses momentum with flat characters and a muddled script. What could’ve been a tense psychological thriller turns into a hollow survival game with wasted emotional depth.

I liked this one! Was like a cross between The Cube and Cloverfield Lane. Not sure what all the hate is about. Good suspense, good acting and a decent element of mystery involved. Good stuff!

The "escape room" concept but isn't thrilling enough. The movie is very potential in the start with unique idea: mysterious wall, surreal urban prison, hindering deeper societal and inner metaphors. However the script seem rush, straightforward with necessary twists. The whole storyline happens in 1 day, all what the characters have done are breaking through floors and randomly finding information to decipher the mystery, way too easy and predictable. In addition, the flow is muddled, the plot is meandering and any emotional reasonance falls completely flat. The movie focus on a couple whose marriage is in trouble because of losing their child, the time escaping the wall simultaneously help breaking their defensive soul and open heart to each other. Yet other characters have no development at all and totally forgetable. At the end, the movie isn't good enough for a brain challenge and well organized puzzle movie, but is enough for simple entertainment purpose.
