Audience Member TV MOVIE. Magnificently photographed, written and acted. Only flaw is Lee Remick's character does not really make sense. CBS 4/9/1989 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member As a grandmother of deaf children I think this is an accurate depiction of the family of deaf children. it is a real life situation and I applaud the cast of this movie. Been there done that I am sorry to say but this could help another family avoid falling into the same trap, Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Wonderful performances by a talented cast, including Marlee Matlin in her first speaking role, cannot quite overcome a melodramatic story in which a deaf woman nearly loses custody of her daughter to the mother who never understand her. I always regards the deaf culture for the rights to communicate with hearing people to give great friendships and relationships that can make you understand positively.
