Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times It's a clever premise, and there are some great performances, including Kendrick's, but a few story elements are fumbled to the film's detriment. Mar 12, 2018 Full Review John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Righteous themes don't keep this low-budget pic from playing like a drama class exercise. Feb 22, 2018 Full Review Alix Turner Ready Steady Cut A claustrophobic, almost theatrical film about power struggles in the office environment. Written and directed by Adam Davis, and available on Amazon Prime. Rated: 3/5 Feb 3, 2021 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Wilson does a good job of balancing charm and obnoxiousness as the big boss, but it's Kendrick who really shines. She gives emotional weight to even the most laboured stretches of dialogue. Rated: 2/5 Sep 7, 2018 Full Review Carrie McClain Black Nerd Problems A timely response to toxic workplaces everywhere, knowing your worth and being ingenious enough to make it all come to ruin when you've had enough. Jun 14, 2018 Full Review Dante James Film Threat Broken Ceiling is one of the more satisfying movies I've seen in a very long time. Is it perfect? Far from it. But it is a very smart mystery that will keep you invested the full 90 minutes. Rated: 7/10 May 11, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Relatable and inspiring story of empowerment. Broken Ceiling is a great movie that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. Karan Kendrick is brilliant in the lead role of this inspiration strong woman navigating the snake pits of the corporate world. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I suggest not watching the trailer for this one because the film throws some serious surprises your way. I'm not a fan of posting spoilers, but I will say that film deals with a lot of the complexities of working within a corporate structure. It touches on aspects of discrimination, bullying and corporate backstabbing. All this leads up to an explosive storyline with enough twists and turns to keep you on edge until the end. If you have ever considered quitting your job, you may or may not want to watch this film for ideas. ; ) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Broken Ceiling Broken Ceiling is an unusual film with a unique way of storytelling. The film takes place in a large conference room with four main characters and a voice on the speakerphone. A set up that is usually dull and boring in movies, but not in Broken Ceiling. The confined location contributed to the dramatic conflict among the characters. The dialogue was snappy and precise, which made the interaction among the four intense and unpredictable. The actors did an excellent job, specially Karan Kendrick and Regen Wilson, who gave outstanding performances. Director and screenwriter Adam Davis was successful in setting us up for an unexpected ending. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Broken Ceiling is about a woman trying to make her way through and elevate her position within a company - it was an excellently crafted indie production that was just so well executed! The twists and turns were clever, the writing was great and the acting was fantastic. Really well done. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review william w This was a great watch. An intense and well told story of how some need to struggle to achieve what is granted others only as a result of gender or race. The films starts strong and culminates in an emotional final monologue. This film delivers a message that, sadly, still needs to be told. The writing is excellent as is the acting. This includes both strong protagonists and antagonists. I hope that someday this film will simply be a relic of past history and not current theme. In the meantime, give this film a watch to see some fine acting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Broken Ceiling is about a woman who is trying to make her way in the business world and is being oppressed by management. After getting passed over for promotions, she's had enough. And takes things into her own hands. In a dramatic way. Don't want to give out any spoilers. Some nice twists and turns. Well done Indie film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
