A massive drug operation changes the lives of three conflicted New York cops. Not on the same level as Training Day or some other Antoine Fuqua films, Brooklyn's Finest is still a solid and interesting crime thriller following multiple characters whose paths all lead to the same destination.

Amazing movie. Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Couldn’t tell what was gonna happen at the end of the movie, but you know it’s gonna be intense. And it was!

It's good for what it achieves in some instances. My big take away is there's too many sub-plots with little time and they don't go anywhere. Both Geer and Hawke were beyond serviceable in their roles and in fact in many scenes it felt very natural for Geer in the blue. He pulled it off but this can only move the needle so much !

This was an ugly film. A lot of undesirable characters and seedy situations. However, the leads shine, in particular Hawke and Geer. So many great and challenging scenes. I think fans wanted Hollywood, this ain't that.

Fifteen years later, still dumbfounded by this movie's poor reviews. Yup, it's derivative. Yup, it relies on tropes. Okay, at this point, what kind of NYC cops & crime movie doesn't rely on derivation and tropes? Directed by the best cops & crime director in the business, I've been glued to my television screen every time I've watched this.
