Anton Bitel Little White Lies soon Gans will be deftly intertwining the tropes of Hammer horror, court intrigue, romantic melodrama, murder mystery, creature feature, action extravaganza and revenger’s tragedy to put his own imprint in this by-road of French history. Kevin H I think the director must of been on drugs and to enjoy it, the audience should be on drugs. This was one painful movie. It just went on and on and on. The main protagonist is a combination of Grasshopper, Daniel Boone, and both characters in Dumb and Dumber. Beware. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review G S Watching this in 2024, I felt the bad CGI kept taking me out of the moment. It's a shame because I enjoyed it otherwise. Worth a watch. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/24 Full Review Tim M Its genre-mashing makes for strange bedfellows, but Brotherhood of the Wolf is nevertheless a neat diversion into historical folklore. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/25/24 Full Review pietro s 2024: this movie does not age well at all Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review Kevin P Massively underrated at the time, this French historic/fantasy genre movie stands out above the rest. Even the dubbing in the English version is done well! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review Torin F Based on a famous French legend, BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF is an early example of now-common genre mashup, effectively blending historical drama, gothic horror, martial arts action and more. Two aspects haven't aged well: an Asian "Native American" character, and some crucial special effects. That said, the film remains richly atmospheric and often entertaining, even if the plot and pacing don't always cohere.
