From Seoul to Los Angeles, Texas to Mexico City, BTS ARMY is everywhere. FOREVER WE ARE YOUNG dives into the passionate fandom that catapulted 21st century pop icons BTS into a global household name. We meet fans at a BTS-focused ReactorCon in Lewisville, Texas, a dance instructor in Seoul who only teaches BTS choreography, and fans who’ve been organizing since 2013 to help BTS dominate the charts. Defying stereotypes of pop fans as screaming teen girls, ARMY is an intergenerational, culturally savvy, and socially active movement that is as diverse as the world itself. The film captures the powerful spirit of activism and collectivity that make ARMY a symbol of hope and unity in our ever-fractured world.

David Opie IndieWire For ARMY and open-minded audiences, there’s something so joyous about the unabashed love on display here, be it through the cute graphics that pop up when a fan reveals their “bias” or when people from all over unite to dance as one to the same song. Rated: B- Jul 25, 2025 Full Review Christie Cronan Common Sense Media You don't have to be a BTS fan to appreciate this moving documentary. Aug 5, 2025 Full Review Cody Allen Geek Vibes Nation It’s a documentary, yes, but it’s also a love letter — to BTS, to ARMY, and to the beautiful, chaotic, life-changing journey we’ve all taken together. Rated: 10/10 Aug 4, 2025 Full Review Andrew Parker The Gate Nothing in the film will necessarily come as a shock to anyone who has ever felt strongly about anything in pop culture, but as a testament to the BTS ARMY itself it offers a good deal of insight and warmth. Rated: 6/10 Jul 30, 2025 Full Review Christopher Campbell Nonfics (Substack) There are a few sequences that slightly elevate BTS Army above just being a spotlight on fans expressing the origins of their fandom and who their “bias” (favorite member) is. gene p In a world weighed down by division, Forever We are Young is a vibrant celebration of our common humanity. Chronicling BTS’s rise from overlooked underdogs to global icons, the film blends behind-the-scenes intimacy with the thrill of the stage. More than a music documentary, it’s a universal story of perseverance and connection, showing how art can bridge cultures and hearts. In today’s toxic political moment, this is a welcome reprieve — a reminder that joy, empathy, and hope are still within reach. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review Lamia K Super interesting for fans and non-fans alike to explore and celebrate the fandom behind BTS’ global success Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/06/25 Full Review sarah y I'm a more recent ARMY from 2021, and it was really incredible to see the beginnings of ARMY and seeing the power of organizing first hand. There's a new level of appreciation I hold for OG ARMY. I cried through most of the movie, from the interviews with a range of different backgrounds, the labor from translators and organizers to get BTS on the global platform, and to speaking on the recent rise of the policing of defining what ARMY is and isn't within the fandom. It also helped me understand which parts of ARMY are aligned with my values and reminded me why I love being ARMY. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/06/25 Full Review Norman H Even though I helped make this film, here are a few reasons why I genuinely love it: 1. The sound design is incredible—especially during the concert scenes. You really need to experience it in a theater setting to feel the full impact.
 2. I was blown away by the stories we uncovered, like BTSx50States. Hearing the behind-the-scenes of how that campaign helped BTS break into Billboard gave me chills.
 3. The dance section is one of my absolute favorites. I still can’t believe we got to film inside their actual practice studio!
 4. There’s so much raw emotion. We got to hear from adults who opened up about how BTS helped them grow, reflect, and heal.
 5. And then there’s the friendships. The real connections that formed because of BTS. Watching those moments unfold onscreen is something special. To everyone who’s already seen the film: thank you so much for your support! I hope you had as much fun watching it as I did working on it, and sitting in the theater beside you made it even more meaningful! P.S. That Jungkook blanket? Yeah, it’s with me for life. Probably even afterlife. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/25 Full Review Anna K This is a film about the fandom. Of course it only shows the positive side of the fandom. A sugar coated compilation of people gushing about how awesome their favourite group is and how it has influenced them. Save your money. Go into any fan group online or in person and see what the average "ARMY" fan is really like - a 180 degree opposite of this. They've harassed other Korean and Japanese idols and idol groups into quitting music, they even harass and dox other BTS fans, on top of what they do to non BTS fans. Or.... just take another blue pill and hand over your money. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/02/25 Full Review Andrew Q I didn't like kpop music but for me it's one of the worst concert I've ever watched it's not worth your time and money Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/02/25 Full Review Read all reviews
