      Critics Consensus

Disappointing resolution aside, Bug uses its claustrophobic setting and cinéma vérité camerawork to tense, impressive effect.

Jerry H Starts out slow but gets intense Michael Shannon and Ashley Judds acting just blew me away actually made me nervous towards the end kind of comical but in a sad way mental illness isn't funny but Michael Shannon absolutely kills it. And then some. 👍 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Emilliano S Great performance from both Michael Shannon & Ashley Judd but the story plot somehow has been 'bugged'. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/23 Full Review Georgan G This film was about how mental illness can be infectious. At least in the sense that fear & loneliness can lead to illogical thoughts & actions. Or who knows, maybe it was all a government plot. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/20/23 Full Review David H don't waste your time, it's an extremely bad film Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/31/22 Full Review Roy T Stumbled upon this movie while channel surfing. Definitely a twilight zone sort of feel about it. Sad part is how many parallels to delusions and psychotic Q'anon narratives there were to what we see in the real world today. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/22 Full Review robert p I just finished watching this movie about two mental people together feeding off each others fears until they finally broke down and ended their lives. I know this was the producer who did The Exorcist, but that movie was far more scary than this film with blood and guts everywhere, thus my rating of 2 and 1/2 stars!!
