From a high-tech workshop in Germany to battle-torn regions of Iraq and Afghanistan, this documentary follows the adventures of Fidelis Cloer, a man who sells armored vehicles to political leaders and well-connected businessmen. Cloer's business thrives when his clients feel at their most vulnerable, and he seems resigned to the fact that he makes most of his money during wartime. His latest challenge is devising a vehicle that can withstand roadside explosives that begin to dot Iraqi highways.

Attempts to lose the nonstop spin of their aggressive hustler star, is no match for his slick promo sales pitch. And in a very different battle for turf between them, as to who gets to dominate screen time. In any case, his bomb security biz is boom-ing.

As if heading off criticism that the film could be perceived as an infomercial, Epperlein and Tucker formally foreground Cloer's talent, regularly branding the screen propaganda poster-style with Cloer's sales slogans, such as "Chaos is an opportunity."

Capitalism at its purest -- Cloer went to Iraq right after the US etc moved in -- and he sold his product, armored cars, successfully, explaining with chilling logic why it is important that people die - so that his products can be improved.

"People have to die to improve the product." A documentary about Fidelis Cloer, a man who sells armored vehicles, and his enormous success thanks to the war in Iraq. Interesting but drags on too long. Simply a matter of taste, though.
