Echoing the other comments, the camera work and visuals are better than the script-- but not enough to save what is maybe a 30-minute story being dragged out with monologues and melodrama.

There is a lot happening here. Drinking, money, flashbacks, trespassing, deliverance? If you can ignore some plot holes it is a fun ride. At times it seems like "film school friends try to make a movie" but it is a better film than that.

I'm writing this 20 minutes before the film has finished. It's an oddly compelling/annoying/entertaining/schizophrenic movie. Compelling in the sense that I want to see what happens next; annoying because the tone of the music and dialogue is noticeably inconsistent; entertaining because it's got love and murder and humor and betrayal mixed together - and schizophrenic because this movie doesn't seem to know how it wants to portray itself. Look, my review is trying to be mildly clever, but the truth is that those four things I listed aren't separate aspects of the movie. They're all part of the same, weird thing. This is a very odd film, because the music / atmosphere is often quirky-humorous, but then one friend commits (mild) sexual assault against another. The group has fun together, but then they commit murder in a decidedly un-fun manner. I guess that while I like some of the acting and dialogue, the characters are a bit unbelievable, which is probably a script problem. I dunno.... Check it out. You might find yourself annoyed and mildly entertained like I am right now...
