Juan Carlos A somehow, this movie got a high score on IMDB. That's how I got sucked into watching it. Bad acting, bad script. Waste of my time and money. Don't waste your time. From her very first moment on screen, she brings this quiet intensity that keeps you locked in. The rest of the cast is also very impressive. The story line super feels very real and the acting builds a very believable world. If you're into character-driven stories with real emotion and layered performances, definitely watch Burner. We watched with our teenage kids and they both loved it too! The daughter, Akina Wylie, was great - vulnerable yet strong. Caught between a kid that had to grow up too fast yet still a kid. I loved the sweet relationship she had with her mom, Kacy Owens, who had a wonderful performance of strength and cleverness. The dad, James Oliver Wheatley, was also awesome - scary and intimidating yet had a heart. I would watch it again!
