Nor movie is great nor was war. CGI just suck. I cant stand this so fake CGI. $55 mills for the movie and you unable to make proper CGI??? Even Germans looks fake. Script is bad, too many story-lines, no wholeness of the movie. Also acting is bad - so much overacting and because of that even people looks like retards sometimes. But sometimes in all this mingle mangle you can find a gem. You can find fine acting or fine story-line or anything else which is splendid like a very last scene in the movie. That idea was so genius, so marvelous, so a pure gem in the movie. Jus wow. Of course a plane next to a tank it's a bit a twopenny, but just forget about that insignificant detail... Shame that we don't have 2nd part Citadel here. 2nd part is a bit better and I'm giving 6* for Citadel. Me, although being a Russian speaker, but living in the West most of my life, loved it. True, the movie depicts Russia during the WWII in not so glorious way, as many Russians would like to see it. But one should not be hiding from history, even if it's not particularly nice sometimes. Look forward to seeing the conclusion of the movie (Citadel).
