Burt Reynolds' final bow and unbeknownst last interview was for a previous Rick Pamplin film titled Movie Money CONFIDENTIAL (released in 2022). The uncut, unscripted and uncensored interview from that production is the heart of the new documentary which also features exclusive Q and A's with Academy Award winner Quentin Tarantino and Reynolds' closest friends and associates who reveal the final act of his life. In his own words, Reynolds explains himself, his career, success, secret passions and advice for others. This no-holds-barred interview with "The Last Movie Star" at his Florida acting school was filmed just before his untimely death. Initially scheduled as a brief discussion for Pamplin's critically acclaimed documentary about film financing, which Reynolds claimed to know nothing about, he was irritable and edgy, rambled around a bit, but eventually settled down and engaged in a rare in-depth look back at his desires and purpose, plans for the future and a wide range of topics. Opinionated, outspoken, charismatic, glib, charming and funny, Reynolds delivers a startling, unsettling, heartbreaking, up-close view of a cinema and Hollywood legend who remains larger than life, yet his personal passions were unknown to most of the world, even to most Hollywood insiders.

If you're a fan of Burt Reynolds or Quentin Tarantino, this is a must see! A fitting tribute to a Hollywood legend from a bygone era, I learned many new interesting things about Burt in this movie including the whole other life he had in Florida. And make sure to stick around for the end interview with QT which was a big highlight for me as a fan of all things Tarantino!

I was a huge Burt Reynolds fan growing up my teenage years in Jupiter, FL and later finding out the biggest movie star in the world lived in this small town (when he was not filming movies all over the place). When I saw the movie that the Director Rick Pamplin put together, it was so heartwarming to see the REAL side of Burt Reynolds that most people never got to see. This documentary (including interviews with some of Reynolds' closest friends and associates) gives insight into what the legendary actor was doing the last few decades of his life. A true love ballad to an inspiring, kind legend that the world will greatly miss.

A thoughtful, tender insight into Reynolds in his final years. I was fortunate enough to see this on a transatlantic flight and it was highly enjoyable. I would recommend highly to any fan of documentary and film history. Outstanding!
