What to Know

Critics Consensus

Handicapped by a family friendly PG rating, even the talents of Caddyshack II's all-star comic cast can't save it from its lazy, laughless script and uninspired direction.

Peter Travers People Magazine Chevy Chase, as a socialite who sells the club to Mason, and Dan Aykroyd, as a psycho ex-Marine hired by Stack to dispatch his enemy, are pitifully awful. Jul 25, 2014 Full Review Steven Rea Philadelphia Inquirer It is a sight not to behold. Rated: 2/4 Jun 4, 2013 Full Review Jay Boyar Orlando Sentinel This PG-rated romp is bland bananas compared to its R-rated predecessor. Jun 4, 2013 Full Review Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media Raunchy, over-the-top '80s sequel has cursing. Rated: 2/5 Jul 10, 2018 Full Review TV Guide The result is a disaster. Mason founders in his poorly written role, and none of the film's endless series of gags is the least bit funny. Rated: 1/4 Jun 4, 2013 Full Review Jo Berry Radio Times The first Caddyshack may have been funny, but take away some of the talent from the original and you're left with the mess that is Caddyshack II. thiago s Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas e não são engraçadas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, e o filme tenta repetir piadas do filme anterior, com tudo isso, eu não recomendo esse filme. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/16/25 Full Review Larry P Imagine reading this script and thinking, 'Yeah, I've gotta do this picture.' One of a handful of films I had to leave the theater before it finished. So bad on so many levels. This picture has no business using the title Caddyshack. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/14/25 Full Review Rob A My friends have made fun of me for YEARS, but I'm sticking to my guns - it's funny. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Mike P All the hate this movie get is well deserved. It's garbage. They should have left well enough alone. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/29/24 Full Review Alex Worst movie I've ever seen besides Jaws the Revenge. Not one laugh. Horrible, awful film.
