Car dealer Joey O'Brien (Robin Williams) is spread as thin financially as he is in his love life. He's dating more women than he can remember, and the local toughs he's borrowed money from want it back. In a last-ditch effort to get out of debt, Joey struggles to sell a dozen cars in two days -- a task that becomes difficult when the husband (Tim Robbins) of Joey's secretary (Annabella Sciorra) barges into the dealership with a semi-automatic weapon and takes everyone hostage.

My problems with Cadillac Man were probably inspired more by false expectations than by anything on the screen, and maybe if Robbins had come crashing in through the window in the first scene I would have liked it more.

Lots of chaos, people talking rapid fire and nonstop yelling. Gets a bit tedious. All the characters are exaggerated to caricatures. Waste of a good cast. Robin Williams was good but should have skipped this one.

Not funny at all, so comedy seems a stretch. Not even sardonic or ironic. It is a solid example of how well RW held a cast together, and showed himself as a stalwart actor

Robin Williams at his smarmy best. He acts like a real life used car dealer. Real acting. Tim Robbins playing his usual clueless stupid self. Other actors pass. The poster says it all. Tim Robbins looks and act clueless as usual. Fantasy ending.
