There is, after all, a reckoning for Maria’s situation we can’t help but keep in the back of our mind. Because our first brief glimpse of Clara is a sympathetic one, we know “Calle Málaga” won’t settle for a tidy resolution. Go to Full Review

There are some heart-tugging scenes, but overall, this is the cinematic equivalent of a blissful weekend at the spa, a relaxing respite from the stressful news cycles of our times. Go to Full Review

danelectro T @danelectro 23h One of the best movies of 2026 hands down. Moving, human, story of a Spanish elderly lady in Tangiers, Morocco (many Spaniards fled there when Franco took power), whose daughter in Madrid, Spain, wants to sell her home but she is insistent upon preserving her connection to her communal neighborhood, the beautiful Moorish architecture, a local market where sellers know her well, her husband's cemetery, a confidant who is a nun she's known since childhood, and other treasures without which her quality of life would be seriously jeopardized. A movie about love at any age, and about the value of the place we call home. Great acting, gorgeous indoor sets, lively outdoor street and market scenes in a town you wished you were living in. A work of art at the highest level. The director deserves top marks. You'll also find the story engaging, constantly shifting, commanding your attention. This is a movie that will make you feel alive and seduced by the magic of cinema. A must-see film. See more Lucia K @RT76710953 Mar 24 Carmen Maura is amazing. It's hard not to fall in love with the character. The storyline bounces you around from joy to heartache but is never mundane or predictable. There is almost a fairy tale quality to it. The only weakness is 'unanswered questions'. See more Louise D. @FastGal Feb 18 Very enjoyable. I loved it. The street scenes are great. Lots of fun with the soccer playing. You don’t have to be a soccer fan. It’s nothing to do with that. See more Stephen C @bob25009 Feb 8 Success in 1 hour and 56 minutes. See more Read all reviews
