Nigel Floyd Time Out Budgetary limitations, a plodding script, ropey visual effects and an excruciating score undercut a heartfelt cautionary tale about a confused teenager wrestling with his religious faith and the dogmatism of his overzealous elders. Rated: 2/5 Dec 1, 2011 Full Review Julian White Little White Lies An unexpected and individual take on sin and the devil by a director who - shock horror - actually has something to say. Rated: 4/5 Dec 1, 2011 Full Review Terry Staunton Radio Times With little in the way of shocks or surprises, writer/director George VanBuskirk fashions a lightweight drama that ponders religious fanaticism but never seems sure of its message. Rated: 2/5 Dec 1, 2011 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall The grounded approach and honest performances are provocative and unsettling. As is the fact that it's based on a true story. Audience Member As someone who grew up in a religious environment this movie was already my nightmare 20 minutes in and the evil hasn't even shown up yet, the flashbacks of all those Sunday school days *shivers*. But over all, it's just meh. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Worst. Movie. Ever. Period. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Camp Hell lies to you before you've even pressed play. Normally that's the sort of thing I can forgive pretty easily, but not when the film we get instead is unintelligible boring trash. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, that was just atrocious. This is supposed to be a horror movie yet nothing related to horror happens until its nearly over, and even then its not remotely scary. It has no direction, no plot, its just a mess. Don't waste your time! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie could have been way better but failed even the scene of intimacy showed no nudity at all and the horror aspect falls flat not worth the time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member a complete waste of time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
