Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun but very silly film, even by martial arts standards. The hero of this sequel to "The Flying Guillotine" figures out a counter to the deadly titular weapon, but the evil emperor figures out a counter weapon to the hero's new counter weapon. I think my main problem with this film mis that the main weapon is so improbable that it kind of ruins the rest of the film. It's not a bad film, but it also doesn't really offer very much new or all that interesting either. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I wouldn't even class this as a sequel. When the assassins turn up with the Guillotines no one really gives a shit. As soon as Fung Sheng Wu Chi appeared in the 1976 film you would shit your togs. The manufacturing of a new guillotine was also a letdown and the final scene is so so and sums the entire film up. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review austin v Better than the first. Ti Lung makes for a more memorable lead, the upgraded double-Guillotines are wild, and the team of double-agent lady assassins adds a fun dimension to the mix. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This direct sequel to the first movie replaces Ma Tang from the first movie with Ti Lung. They now have to stop the Emperor, and that is as far as the plot goes. The movie is missing that epic feel or theme. Its simply just a revenge story of trying to kill a powerful villain, with no really good cinematic fight scenes or good acting bits. Its just a sequel, and doesn't improve on much. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Low Down review coming soon. PS: Hey Flixster guys, this definitely isn't rated PG.
