Veterinarian Sam (Eion Bailey) leads a simple, happy life with his wife, Lydia (Annabeth Gish), in the Maine town where he grew up. But when Dee-Dee (Alicia Silverstone), the girl who was his adolescent obsession, returns home a single mother after being gone for years, Sam struggles as his old feelings return. 02/26/2020 Spoiler alert!! Heartwarming story of a single mom battling cancer who moves back to her hometown to find someone to care for her son after she passes. Hallmark almost always casts great known and unknown actors in their movies. Such was the case with Candles on Bay Street. Alicia Silverstone is still as adorable as ever but her performance was a little overacted. Still a worthwhile movie and story.
