Guy Lodge Variety By the time the growingly disenchanted Lucia suggests that everyone "go back to dancing in the woods," it's hard not to agree. Sep 7, 2018 Full Review David Rooney The Hollywood Reporter It's a handsomely made film but too ploddingly paced to be engaging, dousing its spark in a sea of didactic dialogue. Sep 7, 2018 Full Review Jonathan Romney Screen International Capri-Revolution has too many false notes - and too many bad performances, in too many languages - to convince as a realistic historical drama. Audience Member This movie is very very boring Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Martone is able to dare, considering the Italian cinema scene, to deal with an unusual theme such as the artistic research in a historical context of the early XXth Century. The young actress Marianna Fontana (already seen in the beautiful "Indivisibili" by E. De Angelis) gives light to the film and she is its soul. Bravo Antonio Folletto in the role of the doctor and the various supporting actors: Luciana Zazzera, Marco Manchisi etc ... good actors who come from the Italian theater of prose. Note the cameo of the man with the goldfinch, a tribute to the Neapolitan writer Anna Maria Ortese. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Some characters are placed in a scattered manner. The ideology of the community is not clear through their peculiar dressing and undressing or dance and music. Attempt to relate either spirituality or science is not successful. Only the streessed relation of Lucia with her family is bit convincing and temporary reunion with her mother is somewhat touchy. Only normal character is that of the doctor.
