Cath Clarke Guardian In the end there is something rather depressing about a film willing itself to be so crappy. Rated: 2/5 Apr 18, 2008 Full Review Wendy Ide Times (UK) The kind of quirky labour of love I feel guilty for bashing. Rated: 1/5 Apr 18, 2008 Full Review Danny Bangs Little White Lies The cheerfully weird plot and hilariously bad acting are all part of the film's self mockery, which betrays a love for the genre's cheesy roots. Apr 18, 2008 Full Review Sarah Manvel Cinemattraction Instead of the clever retro sci-fi parody it desperately wants to be, the attempts to poke fun at the tiny budget only reveal a feeble lack of imagination. Feb 10, 2019 Full Review Ellen E Jones Total Film This kind of thing has been done before and it's been done better, too. Rated: 2/5 Apr 18, 2008 Full Review Rob Daniel Sky Cinema Dull and dreary despite DeVison's enthusiasm, take heart in remembering the chances of catching Captain Eager on a big screen are nil. Audience Member A spoof about a washed up Dan dare should be lots of fun...but after 5 mins this runs out of steam, and there's nothing else to this. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting attempt to make a stylish B-movie with a real Dan-dare feel to it. The only thing that initially attracted me to this was the cast, who I've enjoyed in everything I've seen them do. I felt this was very cleaver and well done, and at first quite amusing. This wore off quite quickly and it became apparent this would work really well as a sketch on a comedy show, but doesn't stand well in a 90min film. The 'behind the scenes' documentary however was very interesting and funny, shame you had to watch the film to accompany it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a bizarre and silly movie, full of kitsch and at times quite pathetic. Not for the serious of heart. Also has quite a few themes along the lines of age vs. technological development. Just wondering what kind of spaced out dust these people might have come into contact with... Definitely a cult flick if ever there was one.. intentionally B! So beware :) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
