Daniel G Portuguese independent movie that was for a worthy cause - post-Soviet human trafficking - and it actually got into higher gear past the half-way point, but before that it was too cryptic, too unclear how anyone got into the trouble they did, making it more difficult to relate to any of the protagonists. It painted a dark picture of the kinds of violence especially women were victims of - though men in some ways were even more vulnerable. Not sure if the challenge was that they made the Portuguese actors play the parts of people from elsewhere. Anyway, this was in some ways amateur night, though it was clear that the actors and actresses were experienced. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
