Tony Salerno Jr. (William Prince) is a talented piano player who aspires to join a big band. However, Salerno's mother (Marsha Hunt) intends for her son to be a concert pianist and ultimately gets her way, with the musician eventually appearing at Carnegie Hall. While the movie features Salerno's romance with beautiful singer Ruth Haines (Martha O'Driscoll), it also includes performances by renowned classical musicians filmed in the iconic New York City landmark.
