kevin w Pretty generic Westerner with Roy Rogers as an outlaw who stops stage coaches so he can see what letters are coming through ... which doesn't make sense (a "known" desperado that only looks at the mail???) until you discover that he looking for his brother's killer (okay, it still doesn't make sense). Anyway, this Rogers vehicle is thankfully light on the singing cowboy aesthetic and, in truth, stars "Gabby" Hayes as the second banana, who steals every scene he's in. Noah Beery Jr. does a good job too. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Roy Rogers sings and acts the hero of the West. i like his style, voice, and athleticism. Bob Steele is a tough and ruthless bad guy with piercing dark eyes. Well done. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member 141112: It's funny how many times Gabby Hayes upstages Roy Rogers in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I like Rogers but Hayes is one memorable character. The story is a bit weak, and I found it slow to start, but once going it's all good. Neat to see a young Noah Beery Jr. playing a more prominent character. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Not much in the way of musical numbers in this Roy Rogers outing. More action and drama than most. Quite decent Western. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
