Audience Member Es muy al estilo de Smoking Room pero no le he cogido el punto a la comedia que se trama. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member que rollo de peli. Aburrida y torpe. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Employees of an unnamed, undefined corporation go on a team-building type retreat dubbed "Casual Day". Despite the fine direction and performances of a large ensemble cast, the film's seriocomic script never quite find its balance and left me feeling a bit "meh". Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member The best of Casual Day is, sadly, how well we can relate to the characters. It's a sarcastic way to identify all the cynical roles of a big business company: the natural-born complainer who finally gets punished by the egocentric boss, the woman who, no matter what, will always be "the whore" to the eyes of some men, the old dog president who asks for an impossible commitment, while his daughter's fiancee tries to release the pressure of working for his father-in-law as the other partners look at him with anger, the one who's willing to work hard but will never get promoted because she's not good to someone's eyes, the supervisor who tries to get involved in your personal life because he thinks it affects the company... the movie has some brilliant movies but fails in the end because the characters are not well-developed (some are, actually, abandoned in the middle of it with no explanation). In the end you have the feeling this could've been a masterpiece with better development of the different storylines. Still, it's interesting to see but it might drive you mad. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Nah, contemporary-pretentious bullshit. Construed and boring dialogues, unconvincing love-affairs and office cynicism. It was just 90 minutes long and I still looked at the watch five times. The only uppers were that I saw it at an interesting festival for new Spanish cinema and that I'd rather see a bad Spanish movie than a bad American one. The former might be boring, but at least it is not annoying. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Radiografía de la cultura laboral española: película ideal para cinefórum y debate, porque es reflejo del sistema laboral en el que vivimos. Dirección y actores a una altura internacional. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
