Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups Caught Stealing is the best movie from Darren Aronofsky... in years, a crazy After Hours-style yarn with a high body count and a buoyant, breathless pace. Rated: 4/5 Sep 6, 2025 Full Review Maxwell Rabb Chicago Reader It’s Aronofsky near his best. Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Tre'vell Anderson Pop Culture Happy Hour (NPR Podcast) You enjoy it, you watch it, and you go on about your day. Sep 4, 2025 Full Review Jared Rasic Metro Times (Detroit, MI) While Caught Stealing is most assuredly a departure from Aronofsky’s earlier work, there still runs beneath the surface a deadly serious undercurrent that gives even the wackiest moments a violent weight. Rated: B Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Linda and Al Lerner Movies and Shakers When you think Aronofsky films it’s usually a Darren-Downer... But in Caught Stealing, the Director and Austin Butler deliver laughs while they pilfer your heart in spite of a considerable dose of violent action, pain and death. Sep 5, 2025 Full Review JD Duran InSession Film A lot of peapole have pointed out the After Hours inspiration, which is quite evident, but even more so it felt like a Coen brothers film. There's a lot of Fargo here as well, with some Inside Llewyn Davis given the cat of it all. Rated: A- Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Marc H Great actors wasted in a movie with very little character development. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/25 Full Review Marie Caught Stealing didn’t end up how I though at all! This film started off with comical moments that eventually turned violent, it put me in the mindset of The Departed. I’m still not sure how I feel about Caught Stealing. It’s not worth a trip to the theater, wait for streaming, Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/06/25 Full Review Annabel E We enjoyed the movie because it was entertaining but alittle slow in the beginning, but it had action, romance plus filming in NYC. I would recommend it because it had some twists and turns. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/06/25 Full Review Anthony T Lots of action all the way through ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/25 Full Review Ali D Loved it. Reminiscent of 90s and early 2000s Guy Ritchie style dark crime dramedy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/25 Full Review Kyle Great soundtrack and cinematography. And best supporting cat of the year. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/06/25 Full Review Read all reviews
