Celeste creates a part steamy Southern U.S murder mystery, part Greek tragedy in a space suited for a silent retreat. It's ultimately undone by elevating the problems of bored wealthy people into opera.

Celeste is certainly a victim of style over substance. That's not to dismiss the film outright. Radha Mitchell's performance as the unhinged Celeste is worth the price of admission alone.

This looks terrible from the get go. The first eight minutes consist of a series of disjointed scenes that I guess will be put in context later on. They are overacted and do not make me eager to learn more. On Tubi.

Parts were OK but it was a lot seemed better suited to soapy TV with emotional changes clumpy and sub plots poorly developed and confusing. The reveal is not worth the weight or entirely believable.
