11/04/2016 An amazing story of an economically disadvantaged teen who uses her intellect and ingenuity to get what she wants. One of the few movies that portrays a young girl maintaining her identity and staying true to who she is without conforming. Characters portrayed by gifted young actresses, script written to sound the way real people speak. Great movie to remind adults of the struggle of being young, gifted and a girl. With an additional opportunity to have open discussion between parents and kids, about adolescent peer pressure.
