Dr. John Carpenter (Elvis Presley) takes the job of running a health center in a low-income district. He enlists three women to help out who -- unbeknownst to him -- are actually nuns in street clothes. The church wants to improve the neighborhood but fears that nuns in full habit would not be well received. Unaware of her unavailability, John falls for Sister Michelle (Mary Tyler Moore), serenading her with his guitar -- which, luckily for him, effectively wears away at her religious resolve.

Atrociously conceived, but strangely very watchable. Go to Full Review

Change of Habit gets props for wanting to be socially aware. And it's a very watchable sit, if you don't mind a very mixed genre blend Go to Full Review

K P Sep 28 Great movie. Although Elvis gets top billing, this is really about Mary Tyler Moore's character and Elvis is her love interest. It is very different to other Elvis movies. Elvis is great, very handsome and playing a different character for him. It is almost a tradition to knock Elvis movies, but this is really very good as a story. See more Denethor D Aug 22 One of Elvis' best movies and one of the first Hollywood films to deal with the realities of inner city life and also to first to deal with autism. It makes absolutely no sense that this is Elvis' worst rated film on Rotten Tomatoes when there are other films he made that are objectively much worse. Maybe the raters are just jealous of Elvis' talent. See more Jared S 06/10/2024 Definitely would recommend to watch! See more Michele B 11/20/2023 The negative critic reviews are not justified on this one as it was a very surprising Elvis movie to me. It's not the copy and paste cash grab style that most of films seem to be but actually a deep story that hits real world issues that are relevant to this day. It was an enjoyable watch and had an open ending to leave the viewers to come to their own conclusions. Out of his 31 films this is easily top 10. See more Steven L 09/28/2023 I thought it was a decent movie. Elvis was a good actor, it was his manager, who ruined his acting career. See more Steve D 03/20/2023 Elvis takes a back seat, rarely sings, and the plot goes nowhere. See more Read all reviews
